Queens Museum

Institution Rebranding
In this project, we are tasked with redesigning an institution’s identifier, iconography, and signage system.

Focusing on the Queens Museum as my target, I emphasize its diversity and local boundaries. Queens is the most ethnically diverse area in New York, and nestled within Flushing Meadows Corona Park, adjacent to the Queens Zoo, New York Hall of Science, and USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, the Queens Museum has become a best place for resident to gather due to its free admission policy.

My version of the logo is based on contrast and fusion of lines and graphics.
Overlapping these two elemets to emphasize the diversity and inclusion features of Queens.

Optical kerning, refined weight, and defined clear space, as well as well delineated placement in
relation to other content all help to make it as instantly recognizable as possible at all sizes and in all contexts.

The Fonts is based on Basic Sans. I only capitalize A and M to match the symbol.
And the gap between the two words has been deleted to work with the closeness of the symbol.
